Kinematic Analysis is concerned with the description of the
movement of the body, not the forces which cause it. The movements of
the body include displacements, velocity, and acceleration.
Kinetic Analysis focuses on the movements of the body as well
as the forces associated with these movements

| Flexion: |
The motion of a joint when it is being bent |
| Extension: |
To straighten a joint that has been flexed or bent |
| Abduction: |
The motion of a limb away from the centerline of the body |
| Adduction: |
The motion of a limb toward the centerline of the body |
| Internal Rotation: |
Twisting the limb inward along its long axis |
| External Rotation: |
Twisting the limb outward along its long axis |
| Dorsiflexion: |
Bending the ankle/wrist so it points upward |
| Plantar flexion |
Bending the ankle/wrist so it points downward |
| Protonation(forearm): |
Turning the forearm so the palm faces backward. |
| Supination(forearm): |
Turning the forearm so the palm faces forward |
